Charity Aware: A program that brings nonprofits together within a community to share needs and work together on synergistic projects designed to attract larger funders. The changing landscape of nonprofits shows the value of collaboration. Charity Aware provides luncheons quarterly for nonprofit organizations to discuss current needs, and share program ideas that could benefit other agencies. Potential funders are always invited to luncheons in hopes new relationships will be established. In addition Charity Aware will organize local fund raising events for every member organization to participate in. If no outside funding can be found for the events, the nonprofits share the expense. This becomes a way for even small nonprofits to hold their “own” event without having to shoulder the full cost.
